Job Description

Home Manager, Hamesbest Upper Valley Services (UVS) is seeking a compassionate, dependable Home Manager/s (could be an individual or couple) to provide live-in support, structure, and guidance for two individuals with I/DD living at the newly renovated home called Hamesbest. This is a beautiful home and neighborhood, close to town and just a couple of minutes walk from Randolph's Vermont State University Campus. Through informal daily contact, shared household activities, personal care, and practical assistance as needed, the Home Manager helps create a safe, welcoming, and comfortable home environment where other residents are supported to live full, healthy, and meaningful lives. We are looking for an individual (or couple) who is patient, enthusiastic, dependable, and experienced in human services. This role follows a Shared Living Provider model and is ideal for someone who values relationship-based support, consistency, and helping people feel truly at home. Full-Time Position with housing provided, including a private upstairs suite with one bedroom, living room, kitchenette, and private bathroom. A rent payment will apply and will cover all utilities.
Expected Hours:
40-46 hours per week, plus additional time as a live-in housemate.
Expected Pay Range:
$44,000-$60,000 annually. This position follows a Shared Living Provider model, so the annual stipend is tax free.

In person, Randolph Center, Vermont About Upper Valley Services Upper Valley Services is a Vermont-designated nonprofit agency providing inclusive, person-centered supports for people with developmental disabilities and adults who qualify for a nursing home level of care at home. With programs based in Randolph, Bradford, Moretown, and Essex, UVS offers a broad range of community-based services designed to help people live successfully, build meaningful relationships, make choices, and participate fully in their communities. About Hamesbest Hamesbest, a Scottish phrase meaning "Home is Best," was named by the family who generously gifted the property to UVS. The home will provide permanent, affordable, and accessible housing for two individuals, along with a dedicated on-site suite for a full-time live-in Home Manager/Householder. The property also includes an Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) created from the garage, offering an additional fully accessible one-bedroom apartment. Essential Functions of the
Position:
Training and ongoing guidance will be provided to support you in performing responsibilities that include, but are not limited to:
  • Provide live-in support, structure, and guidance to residents through informal daily contact and house activities.
  • Create social opportunities within the home and the broader community.
  • Support residents' well-being and safety while encouraging growth, independence, and personal development.
  • Assist residents with identifying, shaping, and working toward their personal goals.
  • Offer physical and emotional support as needed.
  • Help facilitate medical care needs in coordination with UVS Nursing Services.
  • Perform household tasks such as cooking, cleaning, and laundry, both with residents and independently.
  • Manage the household budget for groceries, supplies, and activities.
  • Maintain required records and documentation.
Once an offer has been made to the successful applicant, they must be able to move in within 2-4 weeks.
Pay:
$44,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
