The Sugar House Hotel | Winooski, Vermont Be part of something new in the heart of Winooski. The Sugar House Hotel is a distinctive independent hotel joining Marriott's Tribute Portfolio. We are building an opening team of passionate hospitality professionals who want more than just another job. This is an opportunity to help shape a hotel from the beginning, establish its culture, and create memorable experiences for every guest. The Sugar House Hotel is seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager to oversee the daily operations of Treetops Restaurant & Rooftop Bar and Moss Cafe & Bar. This leader will play an important role in launching two exciting food and beverage concepts, building a strong service team, and creating experiences that become favorites among hotel guests and the local community. Opening a hotel is an experience unlike any other. The Restaurant Manager will have the opportunity to help develop operating standards, recruit and train a new team, establish service traditions, and influence the guest experience from day one.

What You Will Do Oversee daily restaurant, cafe, and bar operations Recruit, train, schedule, coach, and develop team members Create a welcoming environment centered on genuine hospitality Maintain high standards for service, food quality, cleanliness, and presentation Work closely with culinary and hotel leadership to ensure smooth operations Monitor labor, purchasing, inventory, and other operating expenses Support the development and implementation of opening procedures and service standards Ensure compliance with health, safety, alcohol service, and company requirements Respond to guest feedback and resolve concerns professionally Build strong relationships with hotel guests, local residents, and the Winooski community What We Are Looking For Previous restaurant management experience in a high quality, full service environment Experience overseeing bar operations and high volume service A proven ability to recruit, train, motivate, and develop a successful team Strong knowledge of restaurant financials, labor management, inventory, and cost controls Excellent communication, organization, and problem solving skills A hands on leadership style and willingness to support the team wherever needed Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs If you are energized by new beginnings, enjoy building great teams, and want to leave your mark on a new hotel and its dining experiences, we would love to meet you.
Pay:
$60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
