Bar Manager Fisherman Jack's Waterfront Dining | Everett, WA Fisherman Jack's is looking for an experienced Bar Manager to lead and grow our beverage program while working alongside the team behind the bar. This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who is passionate about craft cocktails, spirits, beer, wine, guest experience, and developing a high-performing bar team. As our Bar Manager, you will own the beverage program—from menu development and inventory management to staff training, profitability, and daily execution. This is not an office position; you will regularly work bartender shifts and lead by example during service. ResponsibilitiesBar Leadership & Operations Lead daily bar operations and ensure exceptional guest experiences. Oversee bartenders during service and coach performance in real time. Ensure recipes, portioning, and service standards are consistently followed. Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar. Resolve guest concerns professionally and efficiently. Conduct pre-shift meetings when introducing new beverage specials. Beverage Program Develop seasonal cocktails and beverage features. Evaluate drink performance and profitability. Monitor liquor costs, pour costs, and waste. Collaborate with the kitchen on food and beverage pairings. Support marketing efforts for drink promotions and special events. Inventory & Ordering Complete weekly bar inventories. Order liquor, beer, and wine. Maintain appropriate stock levels, glassware, bar tools, and supplies. Manage vendor relationships and coordinate tastings. Oversee bar equipment maintenance and repairs. Team Development Hire, onboard, and train bartenders. Coach and develop bar staff through ongoing feedback. Test new servers on beverage knowledge before they begin serving independently. Assist with scheduling and staffing needs. Participate in leadership meetings with the management team. Qualifications Previous experience managing a high-volume bar or beverage program. Extensive knowledge of beer, wine, spirits, and craft cocktails. Strong leadership, communication, and coaching skills. Excellent organizational and inventory management abilities. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards. Strong guest service and problem-solving skills. Schedule & Availability This is a full-time management position of up to 40 hours per week , working five days each week .
Availability requirements include:
Required availability on Sunday evenings, Monday evenings, and Thursday evenings . Up to three closing shifts per week , typically ending around midnight , with occasional later nights. Occasional opening shifts beginning at 10:00 a.m. Required to work one floating management shift each week (non-tipped). What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who takes ownership, enjoys building systems, develops people, and wants to create one of the strongest bar programs in the region. If you're equally comfortable creating a new cocktail menu, coaching a bartender during a busy Friday night, analyzing beverage costs, and delivering exceptional hospitality, we'd love to meet you.
Pay:
$40.00 - $55.00 per hour
