Job Description

Working Front of House Manager Restaurant & BarSecoma LanesWe are looking for an experienced, hands-on Working Front of House Manager to lead the restaurant and bar operations at our bowling center.

This is a working management position. We want someone who enjoys being on the floor with the team, interacting with guests, solving problems, and leading by example not someone looking to manage primarily from an office.

The FOH Manager will oversee our restaurant and bar staff while working closely with the owner, management team, and chef to provide an amazing guest experience and maintain a professional, well-run operation.

Schedule & HoursThis position will generally work 36 40 hours per week, including:

Approximately 25 30 hours per week working actual floor shiftsApproximately 10 15 hours per week of management and administrative dutiesTypically two consecutive days off, as business needs permitStandard days off are expected to be Monday and TuesdayAvailability to step in when necessary to cover call-outs, vacations, or other staffing needsBecause this is a hospitality management position, flexibility is important. When an employee calls out or needs time off, the FOH Manager is responsible for finding appropriate coverage or covering the shift when necessary.

ResponsibilitiesLead the FOH TeamManage restaurant and bar FOH employees and lead the team in delivering an outstanding guest experience.

Be an active presence on the floor, working alongside employees and setting the standard for service.

Write and manage the weekly FOH staff schedule.

Maintain appropriate staffing levels based on anticipated business.

Coordinate coverage for employee call-outs and time-off requests.

Work with the owner, management team, and chef on hiring, training, development, and, when necessary, termination of FOH employees.

Provide coaching, disciplinary action, and corrective action when needed.

Set clear expectations and hold employees accountable while maintaining a positive and professional work environment.

Restaurant & Bar OperationsOversee day-to-day FOH operations in both the restaurant and bar.

Create and place orders for beer, liquor, wine, and other FOH vendors as needed.

Help manage beverage inventory and maintain appropriate product levels.

Develop the drink menu and maintain standardized drink recipes to ensure guests receive a consistent product every time.

Maintain high standards for cleanliness and organization throughout the bar and server alley.

Ensure cleanliness and sanitation meet or exceed Health Department standards.

Make sure FOH employees maintain current required MAST alcohol-service permits and Food Worker Cards.

Help ensure staff follows company policies as well as applicable food-safety and alcohol-service requirements.

What We're Looking ForThe right person for this position is a strong leader who isn't afraid to jump in and work alongside the team. You should be comfortable managing people, handling a busy restaurant and bar, making decisions, and addressing problems as they happen.

Restaurant and/or bar management experienceStrong knowledge of front-of-house restaurant and bar operationsExperience leading, scheduling, training, and holding employees accountableExcellent guest-service skillsStrong communication and organizational skillsKnowledge of beer, wine, liquor, and basic bar inventory and orderingAbility to develop and maintain consistent drink recipesA hands-on leadership styleDependability and the flexibility required for a hospitality management positionThe ability to stay calm, professional, and solution-oriented during busy shiftsThe Person We WantWe want a manager who takes ownership of the front of the house.

You should care about the details whether the bar is clean, the schedule is covered, drinks are being made consistently, employees are doing their jobs, and guests are having a great experience.

Most importantly, we're looking for someone who leads from the floor. You'll be expected to know your team, support them when they're busy, address problems when they arise, and help create an environment where employees enjoy working and guests want to come back
