This role will be the main point person at The Galley @ 7Seas, working directly with Millville's General Manager overseeing daily restaurant operations, ensure top-notch customer service, and support the management team in maintaining high standards of food quality, safety, and team performance. Duties Assist the restaurant manager in overseeing daily operations, including shift management and staff coordination Supervise food preparation, cooking, and food safety procedures to ensure quality standards are met consistently Manage inventory control, ordering supplies, and monitoring stock levels to minimize waste and control costs Operate POS systems when needed Lead staff training sessions on food handling, customer service, and operational procedures to enhance team skills Support hiring processes by interviewing candidates and participating in staff onboarding and development programs Ensure compliance with health regulations, food safety standards, and sanitation protocols across all restaurant areas Qualifications Proven experience in quick service & fast food restaurant environments or casual dining settings with supervisory responsibilities Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen management practices Familiarity with POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS; experience with cash handling is essential Demonstrated leadership skills in managing hospitality teams, supervising staff, and fostering teamwork Ability to perform basic math accurately for inventory control, budgeting, and profit & loss analysis Excellent communication skills for managerial oversight, training, and customer interactions Prior experience in restaurant management or assistant manager roles within the food industry is highly desirable Join us if you're passionate about delivering outstanding food experiences through effective team leadership and operational excellence.
