Full-time Position Summary We are seeking a strong, hands-on Kitchen Manager to lead back-of-house operations. This role is responsible for maintaining food quality, managing the kitchen team, and ensuring efficient, safe, and consistent execution during all shifts. The Kitchen Manager plays a key role in supporting overall store performance and guest experience. Responsibilities Kitchen Operations Oversee daily kitchen operations, including prep, service, and closing Ensure all food is prepared consistently and meets company standards Maintain speed and efficiency during high-volume shifts Step in and support the line as needed Team Leadership Hire, train, and develop kitchen staff Create and manage schedules based on business needs Hold team members accountable to performance and conduct expectations Maintain a positive, team-oriented environment Food Safety & Cleanliness Enforce all health, safety, and sanitation standards Maintain a clean, organized, and inspection-ready kitchen Ensure proper food handling, storage, and labeling Inventory & Cost Control Manage ordering, inventory, and vendor relationships Control food cost, waste, and portioning Complete regular inventory counts and ensure accurate receiving Communication & Collaboration Work closely with the General Manager and front-of-house leadership Communicate menu changes, shortages, and operational needs clearly Support overall store goals and daily operations Qualifications Previous kitchen leadership experience required Strong understanding of food safety and kitchen operations Ability to lead in a fast-paced, high-volume environment Strong communication and problem-solving skills Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays Expectations Leads by example in work ethic and attitude Maintains professionalism at all times Supports team success and overall store performance Upholds Tangen Hospitality standards and values Performs other duties as needed
