YCafe Siena is looking for a talented, long-term manager for our espresso and sandwich cafe at Starfire Sports Complex in Tukwila. This job involves making and serving drinks and food from a counter as well as management hours. The manager is in charge of a crew of 4+, usually more in the summer. Current operating hours are Monday through Friday 3:00 to 8:00 p.m., weekends 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. with room to expand hours. Cafe seats 40 and has very busy takeout on weekends and special events. The Café manager must be extremely reliable and have excellent leadership skills. The job also involves ensuring that the premises meets safety and health standards. Experience with Clover or similar POS a plus.

Responsibilities:

Oversee day-to-day operations of the café and ensure the smooth running of the business. Prepare and serve drinks and food, operate POS system. Recruit, hire, train and schedule café staff. Attract customers by promoting café services and products. Help with menu, specials, procedures and suppliers; implement improvements to operating systems as circumstances demand. Order all stock and supplies to ensure inventory is always sufficient; ensure cleanliness of facility and be sensitive to customer needs. Complete some sales reports and inventories as needed. Maintain a friendly relationship with staff & work to resolve any customers' queries and complaints. Must have current food handler's permit or ability to obtain one prior to hire.
