The Hardware Store has been Vashon's gathering place since 2005, in a landmark building that dates to 1890. We're open seven days a week for lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch, We host live music, trivia and other fun programming in The Yard, our sister venue next to the restaurant. We also have a catering and events program that's growing fast. We're looking for a Front of House Manager to lead our floor team and help shape what comes next.

You'll run the floor day to day, train and develop a strong service team, and work closely with our Michelin-trained chef and our bar manager to deliver food, drinks, and hospitality we're proud of.

What you'll doLead, schedule, and develop the front-of-house team, including hiring, onboarding, and ongoing training in service standards and food safetyRun shifts with smooth service flow, good table pacing, and attention to every guestManage Toast POS, front-of-house inventory, and cost controls alongside the chef and bar managerSupport catering, banquet, and private event serviceHandle guest feedback quickly and personally, turning problems into regularsHelp with budgeting and keep us in compliance with health and safety regulationsWhat you bring2+ years managing front of house in a high-volume casual or fine dining restaurantExperience hiring, training, and leading a teamStrong knowledge of food safety and how a kitchen and dining room work togetherComfort with POS systems (Toast a plus)Availability for nights, weekends, and holidays
