Kitchen Manager
Job Description
Overview VFW Post 305 is looking for an experienced Kitchen Manager to join our team. Our facility is casual, fast paced, and inviting the to the public seven days a week. As a part of the leadership team, the Kitchen Manager will influence and motivate staff, exhibit a high character disposition, and oversee product & service standards ensuring all areas are being maintained and exceeded for operating efficiency. Responsibilities Supervise daily kitchen operations, ensuring all food is prepared to the highest quality standards. Train, mentor, and manage kitchen staff, fostering a positive team environment. Oversee inventory management, including ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels. Implement food safety and sanitation protocols in compliance with health regulations. Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction. Ensure menu items focus on seasonal ingredients and customer preferences. Manage kitchen budgets and control costs while maintaining quality standards. Utilize POS systems for efficient order processing and tracking. Qualifications Proven experience as a Kitchen Manager or in a similar role within the hospitality industry. Strong knowledge of food management practices, including inventory control and cost management. Experience in staff training and team management to promote a cohesive work environment. Familiarity with bar operations is a plus. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with team members and guests. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. A passion for culinary arts and commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences.
