Wokring Bar Manager

Job Description

WORKING BAR MANAGER / LEAD BARTENDER

$10/HR + TIPS | $500 FAST-START BONUS |

IMMEDIATE HIRE

BBQ'd Productions is looking for a Working Bar Manager / Lead Bartender , and we are looking to hire the right person within the next 48 hours. This is NOT your typical restaurant management position. You will not be sitting in an office. You will not be managing a giant front-of-house staff. Most shifts, it will be you and the owner running the front of the house together. That means we need someone who can take ownership of the room. Bartend. Serve. Sell. Build regulars. Create an amazing guest experience. Promote the restaurant. Make money. If that sounds exciting to you, keep reading.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We're looking for someone who is absolutely GREAT with people. Not just someone who can make drinks. Not just someone who can take an order. We want someone who understands that great hospitality is about creating an experience. We want the bartender who remembers someone's drink when they walk through the door. The person customers ask for by name. The person who can naturally recommend an appetizer, premium entrée, cocktail, another round or dessert without making the customer feel like they're being sold to. We want a salesperson with a hospitality personality. If you're competitive, outgoing, energetic and motivated to make money, you'll probably fit in very well here.

WHAT YOU'LL ACTUALLY DO

Bartend and serve guests Help run the entire front of house alongside the owner Provide exceptional hospitality Build relationships with regular customers Turn first-time guests into repeat customers Upsell appetizers, drinks, entrées, desserts and specials Promote restaurant events, specials and catering Maintain a clean, organized and fully stocked bar Handle guest concerns professionally Maintain excellent service standards Bring ideas to the table for increasing bar and restaurant business Help create energy in the restaurant Take ownership instead of waiting to be told what to do We want someone who comes into work thinking: "How can we make tonight awesome?"

Not:

"How long until I can go home?"

COMPENSATION

$10.00 PER

HOUR + TIPS

Because our front-of-house team is intentionally small, this is a hands-on, tipped position with significant opportunity to personally take care of guests and build your own regular following. The better the hospitality, the better the sales, and the more regulars you build, the more opportunity you have to make money. $500 FAST-START BONUS We need someone now. We are actively interviewing and plan to make a hiring decision quickly. A qualified candidate who can start immediately will be eligible for a: $500 FAST-START BONUS Bonus eligibility, requirements and payment schedule will be provided at hire.

YOU MAY BE OUR PERSON IF

You're an experienced bartender You're ridiculously good with people You know how to sell You're comfortable taking ownership of a restaurant floor You're outgoing and confident You remember customers and build regulars You're competitive You have a sense of urgency You don't need someone constantly telling you what to do You actually enjoy hospitality You're motivated to make money You take pride in where you work Restaurant leadership experience is preferred, but we're much more interested in finding the right person than collecting management titles on a résumé.

YOU'RE PROBABLY NOT OUR PERSON IF

You're looking for an office management position. You don't enjoy talking to customers. You aren't comfortable selling or upselling. You spend downtime staring at your phone. You need constant direction. You just want to punch in, survive your shift and go home. There's nothing wrong with that, but this isn't that job.

HERE'S THE PERSON WE'RE TRYING TO FIND

You're behind the bar and a regular walks through the door. You already know their name. You know what they drink. You know where they like to sit. Before they even ask, you're getting their drink started. They bring friends in because they love coming to see you. New customers trust your recommendations because you're genuinely excited about what you're selling.

People leave saying:

"That bartender was freaking awesome." If you're reading this thinking: "That's literally me." Then I want to meet you.

APPLY TODAY

We are interviewing immediately and intend to hire within the next 48 hours. Don't just send us a résumé and disappear into the Indeed application pile. Sell us on you. Tell us about your bartending experience. Tell us about the regulars you've built. Tell us how you increase sales. Tell us what makes you different from every other bartender applying.

And most importantly:

Tell us how soon you can start. If you're as good at sales as we're looking for, this should be the easiest sale you make all week. BBQ'd Productions Come Hungry. Leave Impressed.
