Job Summary To Apply for this Job Click Here We're looking for a strong, hands-on General Manager to take ownership of a neighborhood bar in the La Crosse area. This is a great opportunity for an experienced bar operator or bartender/manager who knows how to take control of a room, build relationships with regulars, and create a fun, safe, well-run atmosphere. This is not a desk job. We need someone with presence, confidence, and personality who can be the "mayor of the bar" while still holding customers and employees accountable.
What You'll Get:
$1,000/week base salary ($52K annually) Approximately $20K-$25K additional earning potential in tips Total earning potential around $70K-$75K+ Four bartending/management shifts per week Additional management hours for ordering, scheduling, inventory, and operations Small team of approximately 5-8 employees Autonomy to truly take ownership of the operation No kitchen headaches — Heggie's pizzas only
What You'll Do:
Run the day-to-day operation of the bar Bartend approximately four shifts per week and build relationships with regulars Set the tone for a fun, welcoming, safe neighborhood-bar environment Confidently handle difficult customers and enforce house standards Hire, train, schedule, coach, and lead a small team Handle liquor ordering, inventory, cash controls, and basic cost management Keep the bar clean, stocked, organized, and running smoothly Drive local engagement and help grow the business
What We're Looking For:
Strong bar, bartending, or hospitality management experience Confident personality and strong presence Comfortable handling challenging situations and de-escalating customer issues Someone who isn't afraid to enforce standards when necessary Highly reliable and able to work independently Strong knowledge of liquor operations and inventory Someone who can hit the ground running and run the bar like it's their own If you're an experienced bar operator who loves being behind the bar, knows how to build a loyal group of regulars, and has the confidence to take ownership of an operation, we want to talk to you.
