Ownership / Operating Partners About River's End Restaurants Chartroom & Bridge Tender are looking for an experienced, hands-on General Manager to lead daily operations and help set the course for a memorable guest experience on our beautiful waterfront location. We are building a team-first culture rooted in hospitality, consistency, and pride in the details. Position Overview The General Manager is responsible for the overall success of the restaurants — from front-of-house service standards and staff development to budgeting, vendor relationships, and P&L performance. This role requires someone who can balance the guest-facing energy of a great host with the operational discipline of a strong business leader. Key Responsibilities- Oversee day-to-day restaurant operations, ensuring consistent, high-quality guest experience
- Recruit, train, schedule, and develop front-of-house and back-of-house staff
- Manage labor costs, food costs, and overall P&L performance against budget
- Maintain compliance with health, safety, and licensing regulations
- Build and maintain vendor and supplier relationships
- Handle guest feedback and resolve issues with professionalism and care
- Collaborate with the kitchen leadership team on menu execution and service flow
- Set the tone for culture, standards, and accountability across the team
- Manage inventory, ordering, and cost controls
- Support marketing and community engagement efforts as needed
- Procure and handle special events Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in restaurant management or GM role, upscale casual or fine dining experienced preferred
- Proven track record managing budgets, labor, and food cost
- Strong leadership and team-building skills
- Excellent communication and conflict-resolution abilities
- Working knowledge of POS systems, scheduling software, and inventory management
- Food safety certification (or ability to obtain)
- Full availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays What We Offer
