Bakery Team Leader — Edgar's Bakery (Birmingham, AL) Edgar's Bakery is looking for a hands-on Bakery Team Leader to help run the floor, coach our crew, and keep our cases full of the cakes, pastries, and breads our guests drive across town for. If you lead by example, love a fast pace, and take pride in doing things right, this is a place you can grow — we promote from within.

Pay:

$20-$25 per hour. This range includes average tip earnings on top of your hourly base pay, so your take-home reflects both your base rate and the tips our team regularly earns. What you'll do: Lead and motivate the bakery team during your shift — set the pace and the standard Oversee daily production and presentation so every case looks its best Coach, train, and support team members and help new hires ramp up quickly Keep quality, freshness, and food-safety standards high Deliver friendly, fast service and jump in wherever the team needs you Help open or close the shop, handle counts, and keep the day running smoothly What we're looking for: Prior leadership or supervisory experience (bakery, kitchen, café, retail, or food service a plus) Dependable, punctual, and steady under pressure Strong communication and a genuine team-first attitude Comfortable on your feet and able to lift up to 50 lbs Availability for early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed
