Full-Time About Us Section Street Pizza is an established brick oven pizzeria in Fairhope, Alabama. We are currently evolving into a neighborhood pizza bar focused on hospitality, quality food, team development, and a strong workplace culture. We are seeking a Kitchen Shift Leader who can lead by example, maintain kitchen standards, and help develop our team while delivering a great guest experience. Position Summary The Kitchen Shift Leader is responsible for overseeing kitchen operations during their shift, maintaining food quality, supporting team members, and ensuring food safety and cleanliness standards are consistently met. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys leadership, takes pride in organization, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Lead kitchen operations during assigned shifts Set the pace and standard for the team Coach and develop team members Maintain a positive and professional work environment Communicate effectively with FOH leadership Food Quality Ensure pizzas and menu items meet presentation standards Verify food is prepared accurately and consistently Monitor ticket times and kitchen flow Assist expo and line positions as needed Operations Complete opening and closing procedures Maintain kitchen organization throughout the shift Monitor prep levels and communicate shortages Assist with inventory organization and product rotation Ensure equipment is properly maintained and cleaned Food Safety & Sanitation Follow all food safety procedures Maintain clean workstations Enforce handwashing and sanitation standards Ensure proper food storage and FIFO procedures Assist with cleaning and organization projects Qualifications Prior restaurant leadership experience preferred Strong communication skills Reliable transportation Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Ability to lift 50 pounds Ability to stand for extended periods Positive attitude and strong work ethic What We Offer Competitive hourly pay Performance-based advancement opportunities Structured training program Leadership development opportunities Consistent scheduling Employee meal discounts Positive team culture
