The Shift Leader at Marco's Pizza plays a crucial role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the restaurant in the absence of the General Manager or Assistant Manager. This position involves leading a team to deliver outstanding product quality and customer service, managing sales and costs, and fostering a positive and efficient work environment that aligns with company values.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities Lead and Manage Team Members:
Supervise, motivate, and coach crew members during shifts to ensure high-quality service and product delivery.
Operational Management:
Direct shift operations, including opening and closing the store without supervision, managing employee breaks, and ensuring all food preparation is complete.
Guest Relations:
Handle customer complaints and concerns effectively to ensure a "5-star" guest experience at all times.
Quality Control:
Monitor product quality and take corrective action when necessary, ensuring all products are consistent with Marco's standards and food safety regulations.
Financial Accountability:
Control food costs, labor, waste, and cash flow by managing inventory levels, processing transactions accurately using the POS system, and following proper security and verification procedures for deposits.
Training and Development:
Assist with training new team members on company processes, customer service, and policies, and provide ongoing feedback and guidance.
Store Image and Cleanliness:
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized store environment, ensuring all health and safety procedures are met.
Hands-on Assistance:
Perform all crew member tasks when needed, including working the makeline, cut table, and ovens, to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
Qualifications & Skills Experience:
1-2 years of supervisory experience in a food service or retail environment is preferred.
Leadership:
Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead, train, and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
Communication:
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
