This position ensures production goals, quality standards, food safety requirements, and employee safety expectations are consistently met. The supervisor will lead and develop team members, monitor production performance, and work closely with Quality Assurance, Maintenance, and Management to maintain efficient operations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate all production activities during the 2nd shift within the Debone and Dark Meat departments. Ensure production schedules and daily performance targets are achieved. Monitor product quality to ensure compliance with company, customer, and regulatory standards. Enforce all food safety, USDA, GMP, and company policies and procedures. Promote and maintain a safe work environment by identifying and addressing safety concerns. Train, coach, and develop team members and lead personnel to improve performance and productivity. Conduct employee evaluations, provide corrective action when necessary, and recognize outstanding performance. Monitor labor utilization and staffing levels to maximize efficiency while controlling costs. Investigate and resolve production issues, quality concerns, and employee relations matters. Collaborate with Quality Assurance, Maintenance, Human Resources, and other departments to support plant operations. Maintain accurate production records, attendance records, and required reports. Communicate production goals, expectations, and performance results to employees. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, yield, efficiency, and employee engagement. QualificationsRequired High school diploma or GED. Minimum of 3 years of poultry processing supervisory experience . Minimum of 2 years of experience in Debone and Dark Meat operations . Strong knowledge of poultry processing methods, cutting specifications, yield management, and quality standards. Experience leading large production teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to effectively coach, motivate, and hold employees accountable. Working knowledge of food safety, GMPs, HACCP, OSHA, and USDA regulations. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime as needed. Preferred Bachelor's degree in Business, Agriculture, Food Science, or a related field. Bilingual (English/Spanish). Experience with production reporting systems and workforce management. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to work in a refrigerated production environment. Ability to lift up to 40 pounds occasionally. Ability to climb stairs and navigate the production floor regularly. Ability to wear required PPE and adhere to all safety requirements.
