Director of Business Development Job Summary The Director of Business Development is responsible for creating strategic business partnerships, sourcing new management contracts for standalone F&B venues for DRG. Supervisory Responsibilities This position will initially have project supervisory responsibilities whereby the Director of Business Development will oversee and direct an interdisciplinary group of employees participating in the project. It is expected that supervisory responsibilities will quickly grow to include multiple direct reports to support and manage the execution of DRG's growth plans. Essential Functions The primary function is to lead the business's growth by securing management contracts for DRG restaurants. This position will also be responsible for building a pipeline of deal flow through network building, relationship management, as well as sourcing leads through multiple channels including inbound. The role will work collaboratively with the Strategic teams on Underwriting projects, presentation creation and deal negotiations. Under a fulfillment partner structure, Everybody Eats brands will be executed out of the kitchens of restaurants with Everybody Eats with responsibilities to make the proper internal and external connection to facilitate items including marketing and brand marketing, DTC app management, delivery app relationships, menu management.Responsibilities / Duties
Identify, vet and develop strategic partnership deals and opportunities. Build and establish partnerships which can lead to management contracts. Become an expert in the company's products and where they sit within the larger ecosystem. Travel to business development meetings, industry conferences, trade shows, etc. Perform competitor SWOT analysis. Manage business development pipeline. Work with Marketing and Sales departments on key initiatives. As part of securing management contracts, develop business plans and pro formas.Competencies / Skills
Expertise at intersection of hotels, restaurants and technology. Deep understanding of the modern restaurant landscape including new business models, delivery, and the state of the industry. High social and emotional intelligence. Competence to quickly acquire, process and disseminate relevant information. Ability to ask for help when needed including knowing who to ask and how. Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, including digital and presentation. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to think out of the box to find a solution. Strong analytical and communications skills- ability to develop partnership discussions and quickly determine which partners are long-term strategic options and identify which aren't. Research skills, competitive analysis, and account management skills. Ability to map the value chain. Robust Microsoft Office Suite skills (Teams, Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
