Hourly Position Mission:
The mission of the Shift Leader is to ensure that all safety and quality standards are met while leading and coaching the team to deliver exceptional service. This role involves overseeing daily operations, resolving conflicts, and ensuring that team members are held accountable for their tasks.Responsibilities Include:
Ensure safety and quality standards are met consistently. Verify that team members are washing hands correctly and adhering to standards. Complete food safety checklists regularly. Coach team members through conflicts and be a role model. Hold team members accountable for "Own your zone" tasks. Conduct zone walks to ensure tasks are being completed. Review deployment chart and ensure team members are in the right places. Execute back-of-house (BOH) shift change procedures. Complete assessments of each zone. Plan and assign breaks for team members. Post daily goals and use the SWS form. Ensure all dishes and back-of-house areas are clean.Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Strong leadership skills to coach and guide team members. Ability to resolve conflicts and maintain a positive work environment. Hold team members accountable and ensure tasks are completed efficiently. Knowledge of safety and quality standards in the food industry. Ability to complete food safety checklists and verify adherence to standards. Strong organizational skills to execute shift changes and zone assessments. Ability to review deployment charts and plan team member breaks effectively.Other Attributes:
