In this role, you will set the standard for speed, food quality, and hospitality while holding team members accountable across every shift.
Key Responsibilities Shift Leadership & Accountability:
Supervise floor operations; assign and follow up on opening, mid-shift, and closing duty checklists; enforce proper attendance, punctuality, and timely state-mandated break schedules.
Service & Guest Experience:
Provide warm, efficient hospitality; explain menu nutritional benefits to guests; manage order pacing; resolve guest issues swiftly and professionally on the spot.
Food Quality & Execution:
Ensure every order adheres strictly to standardized recipes, presentation guidelines, and safe food-handling practices; oversee ingredient prep, FIFO rotation, and waste reduction.
Cleanliness & Store Standards:
Maintain strict food safety and sanitation; monitor lobby and patio cleanliness on regular 15-minute cycles; enforce continuous back-of-house sanitization, dish management, and station turnover.
Inventory & Vendor Receiving:
Receive and inspect deliveries against invoices; verify item counts and condition; report discrepancies or damaged goods immediately for credit; communicate daily low-stock alerts.
Cash & POS Oversight:
Accurately ring up orders, manage cash drawers, balance change counts at close, and maintain secure register controls.
Team Communication & Coaching:
Mentor team members on prep techniques and service pace; provide candid shift notes to ownership on staff dependability, performance, and store efficiency ideas. Qualifications Demonstrated leadership experience in quick-service restaurant (QSR), food service, or fast-casual hospitality. Active California Food Handler or Food Safety Manager certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire). Comfort operating POS systems, handling cash/card transactions, and reviewing checklist software. Strong communication skills with an assertive, respectful approach to delegating tasks.
