Employees are entitled to 2 reviews in the first year which may include pay increase Position Overview We are seeking an experienced 3rd Shift Production Supervisor with a strong background in injection molding to oversee nightly manufacturing operations at our Garden Grove facility. This role ensures safe, efficient, and high-quality production while leading and supporting a team throughout the night shift. The ideal candidate brings hands-on molding experience, strong leadership capabilities, and a solid understanding of processing, troubleshooting, and quality expectations in a plastics manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Supervise and lead all production team members on the 3rd shift, fostering a safe and productive work environment. Oversee injection molding operations, ensuring machines run efficiently, safely, and in accordance with established parameters. Monitor part quality and enforce adherence to molding parameters, setup standards, and quality specifications. Assign work, manage labor allocation, and ensure appropriate staffing coverage across the shift. Conduct shift meetings, document production activity, and deliver comprehensive handoff reports to incoming supervisors. Troubleshoot injection molding machines, robotics, material flow issues, and auxiliary equipment to minimize downtime. Collaborate with Quality and Maintenance teams to identify and resolve defects or equipment-related issues in a timely manner. Enforce all safety standards and actively drive continuous improvement initiatives throughout the shift. Train and develop operators and technicians in molding best practices, safety protocols, and production procedures. Ensure accurate and timely recordkeeping, including production logs, downtime tracking, and scrap reporting.
FOOD SAFETY RESPONSIBILITY
- Promote, maintain and support the food Safety culture to include but not limited to: SQF System, Regulatory Requirements, Customer Specifications, Safe Food Handling Practices Qualifications Minimum of 6 years of experience in injection molding; supervisory experience strongly preferred. Comprehensive understanding of injection molding processes, basic troubleshooting techniques, and machine operation. Demonstrated experience with production equipment, auxiliary support systems, and quality requirements. Strong leadership and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to coach, motivate, and develop team members. Proven ability to analyze issues, make sound decisions, and sustain productivity in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Proficiency with standard computer applications, including Microsoft Office and production tracking systems. Availability to work weekends as needed to support production schedules and staffing demands. Physical Requirements & Work Environment Physical ability to stand, walk, and lift as required throughout the duration of the shift. Work is performed in a plastics manufacturing environment with exposure to injection molding machinery, moderate noise levels, and varying temperatures.
Pay:
$62,000.00 - $77,000.00 per year
