As a Warehouse/Shipping and receiving Supervisor, supervise warehouse staff and manage the shipping and inventory.Responsibilities:
Supervise warehouse staff by making sure all tasks are properly completed in a timely and safe manner. Enforce shipping procedures by helping warehouse staff complete training, follow Good Manufacturing Practices and comply with SQF standards. Good manufacturing practices include keeping working areas clean, and free of any safety hazards. Enforce a safety environment by wearing safety gear provided by the company and reporting all personnel not wearing safety gear, as well as to use disciplinary action if necessary. Aid warehouse staff in daily, and weekly tasks such as loading, checking, unloading, order preparation, trainings, and communication among all personnel. Work among Logistics office staff to bridge communication between warehouse staff and Logistics office staff. This includes basic knowledge of NetSuite system and communicating and reporting non-conformance. Effectively contact Sales regarding Purchase Orders, discrepancies, or any other non-conformance. The availability of finding records, printing orders, and product availability. Shipping and receiving tasks include general knowledge of products, product location, customer shipments, and deliveries. Maintain well documented shipping and receiving records. This includes loading, checking products, lot/date numbers and document shipments. Report/solve discrepancies and save records. Availability to respond, provide information, seek help when the office manager or office staff are not available. Other tasks will be assignedSkills and Qualification:
5+ years in warehouse, logistics, transportation, or supply chain 3+ year of Supervisory or team leadership experience Certification for: Forklift Machine, Standing Machine, and electric Pallet Jack. General Knowledge of Microsoft apps and computer skills Time management Physical requirements: Ability to lift and carry 50lbs Ability to work in a cold environment Ability to walk up to 60% of the day OSHA Safety certification (preferred) Must be bilingual, Spanish and English High school diploma or equivalent required Strong leadership and team management Knowledge of inventory management, shipping/receiving processes, and safety compliance Experience with warehouse systems (WMS, ERP software such as SAP) Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the entire shift This company has been outsourcing the recruiting matters to Ingredi, Inc., a recruiting agency.
