In addition to regular transportation duties, the Lead Driver will help maintain relationships with healthcare facilities, introduce Care Connection Transport Services to potential new facilities, follow up with existing and prospective facilities, and identify opportunities to expand services within the region. The Lead Driver will also provide support to other drivers working in the assigned area and serve as a communication link between field operations and management. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Safely operate company-provided wheelchair-accessible vehicles and transport wheelchair and gurney clients to and from hospitals, medical facilities, residences, care facilities, and other approved destinations. Assist clients with entering and exiting vehicles and properly secure clients, wheelchairs, and gurneys using company-approved procedures. Provide professional, compassionate, and respectful customer service to clients, families, caregivers, and facility staff. Communicate with dispatch regarding trip status, delays, changes, pickup or drop-off concerns, and other operational issues. Complete all required trip documentation accurately and in a timely manner. Conduct required vehicle inspections and report maintenance, safety, or equipment concerns promptly. Maintain the assigned vehicle in a clean, safe, organized, and professional condition. Ensure vehicles are properly fueled and ready for the next driver. Maintain and properly store all company equipment assigned to the vehicle. Follow all company safety policies, transportation procedures, HIPAA/privacy requirements, and applicable traffic laws. Regional Support & Facility Relations Assist with expanding Care Connection Transport Services within the assigned regional area. Visit hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living facilities, rehabilitation centers, medical offices, and other healthcare facilities to introduce the company and its transportation services. Build and maintain positive professional relationships with facility staff and referral sources. Follow up with facilities periodically to maintain relationships and look for opportunities to provide transportation services. Provide company information and approved marketing materials to potential and existing referral partners. Report new opportunities, facility feedback, and potential transportation needs to the supervisor. Help support and communicate with other drivers working within the assigned area. Collect required paperwork and documents from drivers in the area and provide them to the supervisor or management. Communicate any driver, vehicle, facility, or operational concerns to management. Proactive Use of Downtime When not actively completing a transportation assignment, the Lead Driver is expected to use available time productively.

This may include:

Visiting or following up with healthcare facilities. Introducing Care Connection Transport Services to potential referral partners. Checking in with existing facilities and maintaining professional relationships. Taking company vehicles for scheduled maintenance, service, inspections, fueling, or cleaning. Cleaning and organizing company vehicles and equipment. Assisting with office organization, cleaning, or other operational needs. Assisting other drivers or management with tasks that support daily operations and company growth. Additional Responsibilities Represent Care Connection Transport Services professionally at all times. Work cooperatively with dispatchers, drivers, supervisors, healthcare facilities, and other team members. Complete required training and follow all company procedures. Assist management with special projects and company expansion efforts as needed. Perform other related duties as assigned by management. This position is ideal for a dependable driver who takes initiative, communicates well, enjoys working with healthcare facilities, and is interested in helping the company grow while continuing to perform patient transportation duties. Requirements Minimum of 3 years of driving experience required . Must have a valid driver's license and meet all company driving requirements. No DUI convictions . No felony convictions . Must be able to safely perform the physical duties of the position, including pushing, pulling, lifting, and maneuvering up to 100 pounds as required for wheelchair and gurney transportation. Must be able to assist clients safely in and out of vehicles and properly secure wheelchairs and gurneys. Must be able to stand, walk, bend, reach, push, and pull throughout the workday. Must be dependable, professional, and able to provide respectful and compassionate customer service. Applicants must be able to perform the essential physical duties of the position without physical limitations that would prevent safe performance of the job.

$18.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
