Job Description

We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Kitchen Lead to join our dynamic back-of-house team. In this leadership role, you will oversee daily kitchen operations, manage staff, and work closely with management to ensure the preparation of nutritious, wholesome, and delicious menu items, including juices, smoothies, salads, and raw vegan treats. Responsibilities Lead and supervise kitchen staff, including task delegation, performance monitoring, and training Oversee the preparation of high-quality food and beverage items, ensuring adherence to established recipes and guidelines Manage inventory, place orders, and maintain optimal stock levels of ingredients and supplies Develop and implement strategies to minimize waste and control food costs Ensure compliance with all food safety and sanitation standards, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth operations and high customer satisfaction Assist in menu development and recipe creation, focusing on nutritious and innovative offerings Conduct regular staff meetings and performance evaluations Handle scheduling and staffing to meet operational needs Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate maintenance as needed Stay informed about current dietary trends and incorporate them into menu planning Work with management to set and achieve kitchen performance goals Requirements Minimum of 3 years of experience in a professional kitchen setting, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role Commercial kitchen experience is a requirement for this position Strong leadership and team management skills Interest and/or experience in healthy eating, nutrition, and wholesome food preparation Proficiency in various dietary restrictions and preferences (e.g., vegan, gluten-free, raw food diets) Excellent culinary skills, including advanced knife techniques and cooking methods Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities Proven ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Food Safety Manager Certification or willingness to obtain upon hire Culinary degree or relevant education preferred We offer a competitive salary, opportunities for professional growth, and a supportive work environment.
