About Yiaya Yiaya Greek Yogurt is a new premium Greek yogurt concept inspired by Greek hospitality and the fresh, easygoing energy of California. We're bringing together premium Greek yogurt, frozen yogurt, fresh ingredients, house-made toppings and genuine hospitality in a beautiful, welcoming environment. We're building our opening team in Palo Alto and looking for a hands-on Shift Leader who can help set the standard from day one. The Role As a Yiaya Shift Leader, you'll be the person responsible for keeping the shift organized, the team supported and the guest experience running smoothly. This is a very hands-on position. You'll work alongside the team — welcoming guests, helping during busy periods, checking product presentation, keeping the store exceptionally clean and making sure everyone knows what needs to be done. We're looking for someone who can lead without standing on the sidelines. What You'll DoLead the Shift Open and/or close the store. Take responsibility for the store during assigned shifts. Organize team members according to customer traffic. Assign positions and daily responsibilities. Coordinate employee breaks. Keep service moving efficiently during busy periods. Step into any position when the team needs support. Communicate important issues to ownership/management. Create the Yiaya Guest Experience Welcome guests warmly. Help first-time customers understand the Yiaya experience. Make sure guests receive friendly and attentive service. Handle guest questions and concerns professionally. Maintain a positive atmosphere throughout the store. Lead by example in hospitality. Protect Product Quality Make sure Greek yogurt, frozen yogurt, fruit and toppings are properly presented. Coordinate with the Kitchen Production & Pastry Lead. Monitor topping levels and replenishment. Check product freshness and appearance throughout the shift. Make sure Yiaya recipes and portion standards are followed. Monitor frozen-yogurt equipment and communicate operational problems promptly. Keep Yiaya Beautiful Cleanliness is a major part of the Yiaya experience. You'll make sure: Counters stay clean. The yogurt and topping areas remain beautiful. Tables are cleared quickly. Floors and customer areas remain clean. The restroom is regularly checked. Trash never becomes excessive. The kitchen and back-of-house remain organized. At Yiaya, cleanliness is everyone's responsibility — including the Shift Leader. Daily Operations You'll also help with: POS and cash-handling procedures Opening and closing checklists Receiving deliveries Basic inventory checks Restocking Temperature and food-safety checks Monitoring product waste Communicating low inventory Ensuring closing procedures are completed properly Who We're Looking For You may currently be a: Shift Leader Shift Supervisor Team Lead Café Lead Restaurant Lead Senior Barista Assistant Manager Experienced hospitality team member ready for your next step Experience in cafés, premium fast-casual restaurants, bakeries, coffee shops, ice cream/frozen yogurt, juice/smoothie concepts or similar hospitality businesses is especially relevant. Previous leadership experience is preferred, but we're also open to an exceptional hospitality professional who is ready to step into their first leadership role. You Might Be Perfect for
