WE ARE Housed within Fisherman's Wharf historic Haslett Warehouse building, the Argonaut Hotel merits a term like iconic both for its past and its present. A recipient of the AAA Four Diamond Award for 18 consecutive years, the Argonaut boasts a location just as noteworthy. Guests wake to views of the San Francisco Bay, Alcatraz, and the Golden Gate Bridge before venturing mere steps to next door Ghirardelli Square & Hyde Street Pier.

Award-winning chowders, exposed brick interiors, and one of the only wharf-side cozy and heated patios in Fisherman's Wharf come together to create your perfect excuse to save the exploration for later. Breakfast, lunch, & dinner are served up daily at Blue Mermaid. And well known brunch menu served on weekends.
A DAY IN THE
LIFE... As a Kitchen Supervisor you will be responsible for training, supervising and working with all chef's staff in order to create quality food products, ensuring proper receiving, storage and rotation of food products, scheduling culinary staff with proper coverage, adhering to control procedures for cost and quality. You own this if you have... To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below represent the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions and/or meet the physical demands. Assist the Executive Chef and Sous Chef in directing, training, and mentoring all kitchen associates. Assist in maintaining proper shift coverage including covering meal breaks and call-offs. Assign duties and shifts to associates and observe performance to ensure adherence to hotel policies and established operating procedures. Prepare and serve hot & cold fare per menu specifications. Ensure all side work is completed daily in accordance with checklists. Assist in planning menus and feature offerings. Ensure all brand standards are followed. Ensure compliance with food safety and handling policies and procedures, i.e., use dates, the temperature of appliances and food. Assist in ensuring effective departmental communication through logs, daily stand-up meetings, and monthly department meetings. Provide information pertaining to hours and available services of the hotel, i.e. restaurant, lounge, and room service. Ensure the cleanliness of the Kitchen and surrounding areas. Assist in checking all fixtures, equipment, and conditions (lights, music, heating/cooling, furniture, wallpaper, etc.) for proper operations, settings, and maintenance. Report deficiencies.
