Russian River Brewing Company is hiring a Kitchen Supervisor to join the team at our Santa Rosa Restaurant! If you have kitchen leadership experience and a flexible schedule, wed love to hear from you. •Please note, evenings and weekends are required. SUMMARY This role is primarily scheduled for evening shifts unless covering for the Kitchen Manager or Chef. While the Kitchen Supervisor will actively participate in food preparation and prep work alongside the rest of the team, their responsibilities extend beyond those of a cook. The Kitchen Supervisor plays a key leadership role by overseeing kitchen operations during their shift, including working the food stations, supervising staff, managing shift transitions, scheduling breaks, and ensuring adherence to all policies and procedures. They may also assist with inventory and place orders when necessary.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Spends approximately 80% of time prepping and preparing food ordersEnsures recipes are followed and portion control is adhered toCoordinates and guides kitchen staff; escalates situations to Kitchen Manager, FOH Supervisor, GM or HR as appropriateEnsures all side work is done before staff leave their shiftManages shift changes and monitors kitchen staff breaksActs as back-up for ordering when Kitchen Manager is unavailableLeads the kitchen shift meetingAll other duties as assigned SKILLS Strong knife skills and foundational culinary techniquesConsistent modeling of cleanliness, personal hygiene, and food safety practicesOrganization, prioritization, and time management to handle diverse duties and team needsExcellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skillsActive listening and appropriate follow-up questioningGood judgment and the ability to make timely, well-informed decisionsClear and effective communication, both verbal and writtenCommon computer applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum one year supervisory experience requiredFive plus years experience in high volume kitchenPrior pizza experience preferredManagers Serve Safe CertificationMust be at least 21 years of ageMust be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplaceHigh school diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate)Bilingual skills a plusCommitment to excellence and high standards
