JobsRUs.com is seeking to hire a Dock Associate for our client in Tracy! Benefits Available! Weekly Pay! $25.00/
Hour Shift:
3:30p-12am Must have previous experience as a supervisor and the ability to operate a forklift.
Objective:
The dock lead will lead and support dock associates (freight handlers) during a specified shift to ensure freight is properly loaded and unloaded to facilitate on-time, error-free deliveries.
Key Deliverables:
1. Has a positive attitude and provides courteous, friendly service to all internal team member and external customers, by responding promptly and efficiently to inquiries and requests. 2. Oversee a team of freight handlers, ensuring procedures and policies are being followed. Coach team members as needed to praise positive behaviors to encourage repeat performance as well as redirect behaviors to stop negative performance. Document interactions in a timely manner. 3. Trains and develops freight handlers. Provides all team members with the tools and resources needed to be successful. 4. Ensures safe and efficient loading and unloading of all freight. If witness unsafe practices, work with team member to rectify the situation, document the interaction and follow up as needed to ensure performance does not repeat. 5. Print and label specific freight, input freight data and information into computer systems accurately. 6. Match manifest numbers to parcel numbers 7. Assist in unloading and loading of freight as needed to support team. 8. Operate a forklift to help sort and match freight to designated areas. 9. Safeguard cross dock operations and contents by establishing and monitoring safety and security procedures and protocols. 10. Manage conflict and issue resolution between team members and/or customers as needed. Document in a timely manner and notify supervisor of situation. 11. Protects company assets and confidential information in accordance with company policies and procedures. Including, but not limited to, candidates, team members, customers, vendors, and proprietary company information.
Required Education and Experience:
1. High school diploma or equivalent experience. 2. Proven successful supervisory experience. 3. Proven experience in warehousing, shipping/receiving, transportation, or related field.
