In this role, you will oversee all food service operations, including menu planning, food preparation, dining room management, and meal delivery services. Duties and Responsibilities:

Hire, train and manage all supervisory staff for the kitchen, dining room, catering and delivery services Ensure that supervisors maintain a safe and sanitary environment and provide a caring and pleasurable dining experience for the residents Coach supervisors in maintaining appropriate staffing levels and effectively motivating, disciplining and training associates Consult with chefs and line cooks to develop and maintain pleasing and nutritious menus. Assess and determine the desires and preferences of the residents regarding food selection and presentation. Ensure preferences are incorporated into the menu and events. Understand the dietary needs of residents and coordinate with dieticians, nursing staff, and care associates to ensure proper selection, preparation and delivery of meals Develop and maintain department budget including purchasing and staffing expenditures. Approve food orders and ensure a proper level of inventory to meet demand and minimize cost and waste. Encourage the identification of enjoyable ways to encourage socialization and enjoyment of residents through the use of food presentation and events. Activities and Marketing Directors Qualifications:

Minimum 8 years' progressive experience in the food service industry Minimum 3 years' experience in a supervisory role College degree in food service or hospitality management preferred Excellent verbal communication skills Due to the nature of the work performed by Ascent Living Communities, and that this position works with a vulnerable population, we do require a criminal background check be completed

Pay:

$85,000 to $100,000 annual salary based on experience
