SHift/Weekends Reports To:

Program Director Role Overview The Supervisor oversees the therapeutic milieu of shelter and group home residents, ensuring the residential program operates effectively, therapeutically, and safely in conjunction with the Program Director and Clinician.

Key Responsibilities Staff Leadership:

Supervise, direct, train, and evaluate Resident Advisors; develop staff schedules and ensure 24/7 coverage (including filling open shifts when needed).

Resident Support & Care:

Guide daily living skills, personal hygiene, basic needs, and recreational activities; provide direct care including medication administration, CPR, and crisis intervention.

Milieu Management:

Maintain a trauma-informed, gender-responsive, and culturally sensitive environment while fostering positive communication with families and community partners.

Administration & Compliance:

Maintain accurate records, manage petty cash oversight, and handle departmental reporting.

Key Qualifications Education & Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Social Work or a related human services field with experience working with behaviorally challenging adolescent girls (

Note:

Associate's degree plus 5 years of experience may be substituted). Experience in staff supervision and administrative management.

Transportation:

Valid driver's license, reliable roadworthy vehicle, and annual proof of suitable automobile insurance.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in Microsoft 365, web platforms, and Adobe PDF.

Clearances:

Must pass national, state, motor vehicle, CT DCF, and multi-state background checks, along with a physical exam and negative PPD results.
