At Candlewood Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Dietary Supervisor to join our dynamic team! As a key member of our food service department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the nutritional needs of our patients are met while maintaining a clean and safe food environment. Responsibilities:
Assist Food Service Director with the following responsibilites: Supervise dietary staff and ensure efficient operation of the food service department Plan, organize, and direct food production, including menu planning, food preparation, and presentation Conduct daily routine checks of kitchen equipment, food storage, and dining areas to ensure compliance with regulatory standards Coordinate with healthcare staff to ensure meal service meets individual patient dietary needs Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient satisfaction and nutritional outcome Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and customer service
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred Minimum 1 year of experience in a healthcare or food service setting; experience as a dietary supervisor or in a related management role is a plus Possess a valid food handler's certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Ability to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends
