Position Description We are looking for a responsible, dynamic individual who is passionate about service and team leadership to join our The Villages location as a Shift Lead. In this position, you will be responsible for coordinating operations during the assigned shift, supervising the service, bar, and kitchen teams, ensuring compliance with CFS quality, presentation, and service standards, and serving as the operational liaison between the team and the Supervisor. Key Responsibilities Coordinate Team Members, baristas, cashiers, and cooks during the assigned shift. Assign stations, tasks, breaks, and operational priorities according to the needs of the shift. Coordinate cash register, bar, dining area, and kitchen operations to ensure organized and efficient service. Ensure compliance with CFS quality, preparation, presentation, and customer service standards. Monitor order flow and coordinate service times between the register, bar, and kitchen, especially during peak-volume periods. Lead opening and closing procedures, including operational checklists, equipment inspections, stocking, organization, and cleaning of all areas. Support cash handling and reconciliation, promptly reporting any discrepancies or irregularities to the Supervisor. Ensure stations remain clean, organized, and fully stocked throughout the shift. Monitor FIFO rotation, product labeling, expiration dates, temperature logs, and waste control. Support hands-on training, onboarding, and development of team members in accordance with CFS procedures and standards. Provide immediate coaching and feedback to the team regarding service, productivity, presentation, and compliance with procedures. Address and resolve customer situations professionally and in alignment with CFS service culture. Escalate complaints, incidents, or situations requiring additional intervention to the Manager. Support the coordination of team coverage, breaks, and rotations according to operational needs. Document and report shift incidents, inventory shortages, equipment failures, customer complaints, cash discrepancies, and team-related updates. Maintain clear and timely communication with the SUpervisor regarding sales, shift performance, operational needs, and situations requiring follow-up. Ensure compliance with hygiene, food safety, cross-contamination prevention, uniform, and required protective equipment standards. Participate in CFS training and development activities. Requirements Two or more years of experience in supervisory or leadership positions within restaurants, coffee shops, hospitality, or food service. Proven experience leading teams of at least five people. Ability to coordinate cash register, bar, kitchen, and customer service operations. Experience with opening and closing procedures, cash handling, inventory, and operational checklists. Ability to handle customer situations, solve problems, and make operational decisions during the shift. Fluency in Spanish and English. Current Food Handler certification. Availability to work rotating schedules, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Ability to remain standing for full shifts and work in a dynamic, high-volume environment. Excellent communication, organizational, leadership, and teamwork skills. Punctuality, responsibility, professional judgment, and attention to detail. Legal authorization to work in the United States. Preferred Qualifications Experience in coffee shops, quick-service restaurants, or high-volume food service concepts. Knowledge of specialty coffee and beverage preparation. Experience using Toast, Square, or another point-of-sale system. Experience performing cash register closings, inventory counts, and waste control. Knowledge of FIFO rotation, temperature logs, and food safety procedures. Experience using Connecteam or another scheduling and team communication platform. ServSafe certification or willingness to obtain it within a reasonable timeframe.
