Full Job Description Dietary Director Responsibilities :
Advises the dining department on resident care and meal service matters Provides supervision and assistance in dining rooms during meal service Develops, schedules, and conducts in-service training classes, on the job training, and orientation classes for staff Assists with the planning of menus with regard to nutrition, regulatory compliance, color, variety, general resident population preferences, and wellness trends Hires, leads, directs, coaches, trains and develops the Food and Nutrition service team Participates in community-wide and department Performance Improvement Program teams Participates in and attends departmental meetings, staff development, and professional programs Complies with all policies and procedures of the community and the organization Assists with the integration of all food and nutrition wellness innovations Assure that all food procedures are followed
Qualifications:
Skilled nursing facility experience preferred Must have completed a CDM/CFPP or State-approved course in food services One (1) year cook/ dietary experience in a hospital, skilled nursing care facility, or other related medical facility preferred Must have completed a CDM or State-approved course in food services (non certified candidates with experience will be considered) Food services supervisory experience in the long term care setting is preferred
