Invest in your future with confidence Position Summary As an Assistant Manager, you will support daily operations of the dining facility, lead and coach team members, and ensure high standards in food quality, safety, and service. This role requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively in a dynamic environment. Key Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate food service staff during assigned shifts Ensure all service areas are clean, organized, and fully stocked Support management in implementing operational processes and best practices Monitor team performance and provide coaching, feedback, and training Address customer inquiries and resolve concerns professionally and promptly Assist with inventory control, ordering, and stock management Maintain compliance with all food safety, health, and workplace safety regulations Participate in food preparation and oversee production to ensure quality standards Monitor product freshness and maintain proper inventory levels Maintain flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and varying shifts as needed Qualifications We are looking for candidates who bring: Previous supervisory or leadership experience in food service or hospitality Strong communication, leadership, and team-building skills Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities Strong attention to detail and ability to follow operational guidelines Basic math skills for cash handling and reporting Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications Physical General Requirements Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs or more on a repetitive basis Ability to stand for extended periods and perform frequent bending, reaching, and squatting Willingness to complete a pre-employment background check and drug screen Commitment to following all company safety policies and procedures About Five Star Breaktime Solutions Five Star is one of the nation's leading providers of on-site food and beverage solutions.
