Job Description
Restaurant Shift Leader - Thai Mango Canton Lead the shift. Support the team. Take care of our guests. Thai Mango Canton is looking for a dependable, energetic, and experienced Shift Leader to join our team. We are a family-owned restaurant serving fresh, made-to-order Thai food to the Canton community, and we're looking for someone who takes pride in great food, friendly service, and a well-run restaurant. This is a hands-on leadership position . As a Shift Leader, you will help lead the team during your shift, keep operations running smoothly, and make sure every guest receives the welcoming experience Thai Mango is known for. What You'll Do Lead daily restaurant operations during assigned shifts and keep service running smoothly. Provide friendly, attentive customer service and handle guest questions or concerns professionally. Lead by example and support, coach, and motivate team members throughout the shift. Help ensure food is prepared, handled, and served according to Thai Mango's quality and food-safety standards. Support both front-of-house and kitchen teams during busy periods. Open and/or close the restaurant and complete required shift duties. Maintain a clean, organized, and inspection-ready restaurant. Train new team members on customer service, food safety, POS procedures, and daily operations. Handle POS transactions and cash accurately. Monitor inventory and communicate when supplies need to be ordered. Help maintain appropriate food portions, minimize waste, and protect food quality. Prepare staff schedules as needed. Assist with hiring and onboarding when needed. What We're Looking For Previous restaurant or hospitality experience required. Previous Shift Leader or supervisory experience preferred. A positive, dependable, and team-oriented attitude. Strong customer service and communication skills. Ability to lead calmly and effectively in a busy restaurant environment. Comfortable working hands-on with both the kitchen and front-of-house team. Reliable and punctual with a strong sense of responsibility. Must be available to work weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Valid Food Safety Manager certification (ServSafe or equivalent), or willingness to obtain it within an agreed period after hire. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
