Position Overview:
The Dining Services Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the dining room to ensure an exceptional dining experience for all residents and guests. This role provides leadership, coordination, and support to the dining team while maintaining the highest standards of service, professionalism, and efficiency. The supervisor plays a key role in fostering a positive dining atmosphere, upholding company policies, and ensuring that residents' meal charges and preferences are accurately recorded.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and support dining room operations, ensuring all meals are served promptly, professionally, and in accordance with service standards. Enter and maintain accurate resident meal and delivery charges in the designated tracking system. Assist with weekly scheduling for servers to ensure adequate coverage and balanced workloads. Monitor and enforce employee compliance with company policies, service expectations, and the employee handbook. Provide hands-on leadership and coaching to dining staff to ensure consistency and excellence in service delivery. Collaborate with the Director of Hospitality to develop and implement new practices that enhance the resident's dining experience. Maintain communication between kitchen and dining room teams to ensure smooth coordination during service. Address resident feedback or concerns promptly and professionally to ensure satisfaction and continuous improvement. Support training and onboarding of new dining employees to uphold quality and service standards. Ensure cleanliness, organization, and readiness of all dining spaces at all times.
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of experience in hospitality, dining, or food service supervision preferred. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail. Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets preferred (for resident charge tracking). Commitment to providing compassionate, high-quality service to residents and guests.
