Specific Responsibilities & Duties Bark N Park values and promotes a respectful, positive, and professional work environment and all teammates are expected to adhere to this. This role is a leadership position in the organization and will be critical in developing the culture of Bark N Park. Additionally, you are accountable for the following: Operational Excellence Holds team members accountable to cleaning standards by ensuring proper checklists are used and verifying all duties are completed Assigns additional cleaning tasks proactively to ensure high-level of sanitation and an odor-free environment Provides continuous training on safe Pup handling and general workplace safety Performs thorough reviews of all pup incidents to provide constructive feedback, additional training, and excellent customer service Maintains and regularly reviews details of health and behavior records Oversees opening and closing procedures - balancing cash, pup care, and team member management Team Member Development Assist with the development of future leaders to develop them for future positions within the store Celebrate individual and store wins Assist with building an effective stream of motivated and talented team members through training and development while supplying meaningful and timely performance feedback. Assist with the execution of employee training Safety Walk yards to ensure all training and policies are being executed Assist with the execution of safety training to ensure that all team members understand dog behavior and can effectively manage the yards Financial Awareness Fosters culture that empowers team members to develop ownership in the success or failure of the business and personally invest in the goals of the business Commitment to increasing sales by consistently converting leads into customers Builds a relationship and sells values of our services with Parents through initial introduction, facility tours, and the Meet & Greet Process Qualifications & Experience These qualifications and experiences help ensure that a Supervisor can maintain high standards of care and safety, create a welcoming environment for pets and owners, and lead a team dedicated to excellent pet care and customer service. You're right for this role if you can demonstrate competencies in the following areas: Animal care knowledge & experience Prior experience working with animals in a professional setting and familiarity with animal behavior, handling, and basic health needs
Pet First Aid and Safety:
Ability to recognize signs of distress or illness in animals and manage minor injuries or emergencies. Certification in pet CPR and first aid is not required, but nice to have Knowledge of health and sanitation standards for animals, including facility cleanliness and hygiene to prevent disease spread Leadership and People Development Experience training and supervising staff, particularly in animal handling, safety, and customer service Ability to motivate and guide staff, provide constructive feedback, and help uphold high standards of care and service Pet-Parent Centric Approach Focused on providing exceptional service to pet-parents, managing difficult conversations with professionalism and empathy Experience handling client inquiries, addressing concerns, and ensuring satisfaction, maintaining positive relationships with pet-parents Business Acumen Understanding of basic operations, such as ensuring the facility runs efficiently during the shift Ability to make quick decisions based on available information to improve results or resolve issues during the shift Adaptability and Resilience Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations, such as handling pet emergencies or resolving pet parent concerns on shift Adaptable to changing circumstances, unexpected situations, and varying personalities while maintain a positive and professional attitude Communication & Influence Skills Ensure team members understand expectations and responsibilities, providing clear feedback on job performance Ensures that important updates or instructions are effectively communicated to staff regarding pet care Ability to clearly communicate pet care instructions and facility policies to pet owners, as well as provide updates on their pets' well-being
