Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Food Service Coordinator to lead our food operations with enthusiasm and precision. In this vital role, you will oversee daily food service activities, manage culinary staff, and ensure exceptional customer experiences. Your leadership will drive efficient kitchen management, uphold food safety standards, and foster a welcoming environment for staff. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence food quality for seniors and children , streamline operations, and promote food security in our community . Schedule is generally Monday - Friday from 6 AM to 2:30 PM. Responsibilities Coordinate all aspects of food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure high-quality service. Supervise and manage food service staff, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations. Oversee kitchen operations, ensuring adherence to sanitation procedures, safety protocols, and food handling standards. Manage inventory levels, monitor food costs, and implement effective cost control measures. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain accurate documentation of sanitation procedures. Lead team by organizing workflow, delegating tasks, and resolving operational issues promptly. Collaborate with dietician to develop menus that meet dietary requirements and customer preferences while maintaining budgeted expenses. Skills Proven experience in food service management or restaurant management with strong leadership skills. Extensive knowledge of cooking techniques, food preparation, and kitchen management practices. Demonstrated ability to supervise staff effectively in fast-paced environments. Expertise in managing food production processes, sanitation procedures, and food safety standards. Strong organizational skills with the ability to effectively manage staff and multitask efficiently in the food industry.
