Job Description
Barks and Recreation is looking for a Shift Lead Kennel Tech to join our team. Kennel Leads are responsible for the daily operations of the kennel and care of the animals and staff under their supervision. Kennel Lead duties will include, but are not limited to: Supervising and monitoring the daily operations of the kennel Coordinating and overseeing operations for kennels that house dogs Training and supervising other kennel workers Developing and enforcing kennel policies and procedures Scheduling boarding appointments Ensuring cages, runs, and the overall facility is cleaned on a regular basis Ensuring the animals are groomed, fed, exercised, and generally cared for Monitoring the behavior of boarded animals Kennel leads may be required to work irregular hours that can include evenings, weekends and holidays. The kennel lead has the ultimate responsibility of making sure all duties are completed each day.
