We are seeking a dependable and motivated Janitorial Lead to oversee daily janitorial operations across multiple plant facilities. This position is responsible for leading a team of janitorial staff while ensuring the facility remains clean, safe, and well-maintained. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong organizational skills, experience supervising cleaning operations, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and workplace safety. Responsibilities Supervise daily janitorial operations across multiple plant facilities to ensure cleanliness, safety, and compliance with company standards. Assign daily work, train, coach, and support janitorial staff while monitoring work quality, attendance, and productivity. Conduct routine inspections of production areas, offices, restrooms, hallways, cafeterias, and common areas to identify cleaning needs and safety concerns. Coordinate with Facilities, Maintenance, Landscaping, Security, and management to address work orders, spills, leaks, maintenance concerns, and special projects. Manage inventory of cleaning supplies, paper products, chemicals, and janitorial equipment by ordering, stocking, and distributing materials as needed. Respond promptly to emergency cleaning situations, including spills, water leaks, and other safety-related incidents. Complete daily inspections, reports, checklists, and documentation while communicating facility concerns to management. Maintain organized, secure, and fully stocked janitorial closets, storage rooms, and equipment areas. Coordinate waste removal, recycling, laundry services, and restroom supply replenishment throughout the facility. Lead and participate in deep cleaning projects, floor care, restroom sanitation, and other specialized cleaning assignments. Promote a culture of safety by reinforcing proper cleaning procedures, PPE requirements, and company safety policies. Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment while providing excellent customer service to employees, visitors, and leadership. Requirements Previous experience in commercial, industrial, manufacturing, or facility janitorial operations. Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred. Knowledge of commercial cleaning methods, chemicals, equipment, and safety practices. Ability to train, motivate, and lead a team in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and respond effectively to changing facility needs. Proficiency in completing reports, inspections, and basic documentation. Ability to safely lift, push, pull, and move equipment and supplies as required. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical duties throughout the workday. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of OSHA safety standards, PPE requirements, and workplace sanitation practices.
