Partners with the General and Assistant Manager in leading all aspects of the guest experience, cake production, brand and merchandise presentation, work environment and inventory control. Supports the managers in training team members, directing daily work responsibilities, and providing performance feedback and coaching. Ensures NbC product, service, bakery environment and visual merchandising standards are consistently upheld and that all bakery operations adhere to food and health safety standards and NbC policies and procedures. Assists the bakery managers in executing operational and administrative responsibilities, which may include production plans, productivity goal setting and expense control procedures. Co-manages special-order fulfillment via web and phone for individual guests and corporate accounts as well as large, complex orders and deliveries. Co-facilitates the opening and closing of the bakery, including cash drawer balancing. Contributes to marketing strategy execution in the local community by helping to coordinate and participating in special, brand-building events. Maintains hands-on knowledge of all bakery roles and steps in regularly to perform various responsibilities as business needs dictate. Must be proficient in all frosting, utility, and cake flipping and storage procedures. Has the ability to delegate tasks, communicate clear expectations, direct others' work and manage performance when Assistant and General Manager are not present. Demonstrates strong learning agility, with a passion to grow and excel. Ensures all directives from management are being upheld and performed well. Complies with all other applicable job expectations when performing said job eg. frosting, GSR, utility. Strictly follows all opening and closing procedures and completes assigned checklists. Complies with all rules and regulations in the Employee Handbook. Has flexible availability of at least 30 hours the week of a large holiday. Has impeccable communication skills and remains alert to all goings-on within the bakery when other managers are not present. Is able to routinely lift up to 50lbs and stand for extended periods of time.
