What You'll Do:
As our Dining Services Director, you will lead our culinary operations and dining experience, directly impacting the lives of our residents and the success of our team by: Inspiring the dining services team to provide excellent customer service, leading by example and aligning with our Core Values of Compassion, Respect, Trust, Fun, and Always Learning! Creating fresh, high-quality menus for daily meals, catering, and special events. You'll modify menus based on food trends, costs, local tastes, seasonal availability, dietary restrictions, and resident preferences. Training and developing dining staff to create stellar experiences for our residents. Managing supplies, schedules, equipment, budgets, processes, and procedures that enhance the resident experience, meet state and federal guidelines, and ensure all food safety regulatory requirements are met. Building positive relationships with residents, families, associates, and vendors.
What We're Looking For:
3+ years of experience working as an Executive Chef or Dietary Manager, preferably in a senior living or related industry. Associates degree in Restaurant Management or related field (preferred). Commitment to professional appearance and safety, including wearing a proper uniform, slip-resistant shoes, and gloves as required. An active Serve Safe certification where required by state regulations. Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record; ability to provide resident transportation and/or serve alcoholic beverages at community events (must be at least 19 years of age). The ability to assist residents with limited mobility, lift/push/pull up to 50lbs. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse groups, navigate challenging situations, and make sound decisions. Strong technical skills (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and the ability to maintain confidential and privileged information (including HIPAA, residents, and associates). Why Choose SageGrove?
