Job Description
Eastridge Nursing & Rehabilitation, a person centered, long term care facility, is seeking an RN Supervisor, Monday through Friday, 2pm to 10pm . •$5,000 Sign-On Bonus paid out over 1 Year•Competitive Pay, Great Benefits and an Excellent Team Environment. The RN Supervisor works with the Director of Nursing to manage the Nursing Department with high professional and personal standards. He/she works with the Director of Nursing to plan, organize, coordinate and direct the nursing functions for professional and nonprofessional nursing personnel to ensure the highest quality of care is provided in a cost effective manner with residents in the facility. This is done in an efficient and timely manner with consideration for both health care and legal responsibilities of the residents, the facility and the employees. The RN Supervisor works with the Director of Nursing to exercise administrative authority, responsibility and accountability for nursing service objectives, policies and procedures, nursing functions and activities, nursing care, and the nursing staff and their training. Responsibilities and Duties Supervise and administer nursing service, assign duties to professional nurses and nonprofessional personnel, and supervise and evaluate work performed Provides for nursing care of patients in unit and cooperates with other members of the nursing team and personnel in other departments to provide care for patient's total needs Identifies and studies nursing service problems and assists in their solution. Periodically visits patients/residents to insure maximum care and ascertain need to additional or modified services. Supervise maintenance of records of nursing and medical treatment and related services executed by nurses. Monitors the overall plans of care. Insures availability of supplies and equipment Adheres to all sanitary regulations to insure that cleanliness standards are maintained Assists with research related to improvement in nursing care Supervises and evaluates dietary service to insure nutritional and therapeutic diets are served to patients. Qualifications and Skills Must have an active RN in the state of Louisiana.
