Cook Salary:

$12.00 - $15.00

Job Description:

As a School Cafeteria Cook, you will prepare and serve meals that meet nutritional standards and follow planned menus. This role requires someone who is organized, enjoys working around children, and takes food safety seriously.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook meals according to school menus and dietary guidelines Follow portion control and serving standards Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen, equipment, and food storage areas Assist with food prep, serving lines, and dishwashing as needed Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff and school personnel

Qualifications:

Previous cooking or food service experience preferred (especially in institutional or cafeteria settings) Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices Ability to follow standardized recipes and meal patterns Excellent time management and organizational skills Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds
