Marathon staffing is looking for a 3rd shift Packaging group lead in Cambridge,MA

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Direct crew daily to meet scheduled needs. Maintain and enforce both OSHA and SQF standards. Verify safe work environment and take action to address any unsafe conditions / behaviors. Responsible for adherence to SQF, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and all Plant and Department rules. Ensure quality standards are met and maintained. Facilitate teamwork and productivity among all employees. Ensure proper documentation during shift and review for completeness at end of shift. Direct proper training and qualifications of employees. Ensure proper equipment operation. Efficiently utilize labor. Work with other group leaders to manage the workforce during unexpected production downtime. Develop break and lunch schedule for the team. Monitor Material Workbench daily in Oracle Production Management System (OPMS) to ensure proper materials and inventories are available. Reconcile daily production in OPMS. Troubleshoot batch discrepancies in OPMS. Effectively communicate requirements and expectations to the team. Fill in for Supervisor when the Supervisor is unavailable. Perform site quality and safety inspections. Audit all shift Production and Quality records.

QUALIFICATIONS 5-10

years food manufacturing experience Demonstrated ability to communicate in

English:

written and oral Bilingual is a plus Demonstrated leadership skills Demonstrated ability to perform with a high degree of teamwork, dedication and motivation. Working knowledge of MS Office, specifically MS Excel and MS Word. Working knowledge of 5s Lean Manufacturing Principles Understanding of Oracle Production Management System (OPMS) or similar system a plus. Ability to operate high speed packaging equipment. Ability to handle/lift up to 35lbs MBLT
