Blue Hills Ski Area is hiring a full-time, seasonal Food & Beverage Manager for the winter season. You will lead the cafeteria, the bar and our F&B outposts, keeping lines short, food safe and guests happy on the busiest days of the year. This role is a strong fit for someone coming off a summer seasonal position (resort, camp, golf club, park, marina, venue or similar) or those looking for a change and ready to step into a management role. The role reports directly to ownership.
Key Responsibilities:
Operations Oversee daily operation of the cafeteria, bar and all food kiosk outposts Open and close each location, and keep service fast and consistent during peak periods Adjust staffing and station coverage to weather, ticket sales and events Team Leadership Recruit, train, schedule and supervise food service staff, including line cooks, cashiers, kiosk attendants and bartenders including ensuring those have the appropriate certifications where needed. Build weekly schedules that balance coverage, labor budget and staff availability Set expectations, coach performance and keep morale high! Menu, Inventory and Cost Control Manage ordering, receiving, inventory and help with vendor relationships Track food, beverage and labor costs and reduce waste Work with management on menu items and pricing Compliance and Safety Maintain food safety, sanitation and health department standards at every outpost Ensure responsible alcohol service, including ID checks and compliance with state and local licensing rules Follow cash handling procedures and reconcile daily sales Guest Experience and Events Resolve guest concerns quickly and professionally Coordinate food and beverage service for races, group events and special programming

Qualifications Required Experience in food service & hospitality Experience supervising or leading a team, formal or informal Comfort working fast-paced, high-volume service in cold, outdoor-adjacent conditions Strong organization, communication and problem-solving skills Ability to work weekends, holidays and peak ski days Must be 21 or older Preferred ServSafe or equivalent food safety manager certification, or willingness to obtain it Alcohol server training (such as TIPS) or willingness to obtain it Experience with inventory, ordering and cost control Experience scheduling or booking live entertainment is a bonus, not required Great fit if you are Finishing a summer seasonal role at a resort, camp, golf club, park or venue and looking for a winter management position Energized by guest-facing work and building a team quickly looking to be entrepreneurial and think outside the box to drive sales Schedule, Compensation and How to
