A private family in Newton, Massachusetts is building a small, long-term care team for our 82-year-old mother and is hiring one senior member to anchor it. You will set and keep her daily routines, oversee medications, coordinate the other caregivers' shifts, and be our family's first call. Licensure (LPN, CNA, HHA) is welcome but not required; judgment and experience are what count. About her She is 82, originally from Kerala, and lives in her own home in Newton. She is warm, sharp-witted, and independent in most of her daily routine; she does not need heavy hands-on nursing care. Her memory has begun to change, and we want a steady, experienced person overseeing her care and the small team around her. The role Lead caregiver and shift supervisor, $40 to $50 per hour, 20 to 40 hours a week on a consistent schedule. Anchor her routines, manage medications, supervise and support the companion caregivers, communicate with the family, and step in on shifts when needed. Driving her (your car or ours) is expected. What we offer $40 to $50 per hour on legal W-2 payroll with direct deposit every two weeks, workers' compensation coverage, earned sick time, and a written work agreement. A consistent weekly schedule, one client, meals on shift, and a family that treats its care team as professionals. We hope you will be with her for years. Who you are Experienced with elders and memory care, calm under pressure, and comfortable leading a small team. A safe, confident driver. Malayalam speaker and/or familiarity with Kerala food is a major plus, not a requirement. No smoking or vaping on shift or in the car.
