Job Description

Position Summary The Floor Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the restaurant floor, ensuring exceptional guest experiences while maintaining efficient service and a positive work environment. This role leads by example, supports the front-of-house team, resolves guest concerns, and works closely with the kitchen and management team to ensure smooth operations during every shift. Essential Responsibilities Guest Experience Deliver exceptional hospitality and ensure every guest receives outstanding service. Address guest questions, concerns, and complaints professionally and promptly. Build relationships with regular guests and foster a welcoming atmosphere. Monitor service quality throughout each shift and take corrective action as needed. Team Leadership Supervise and support servers, bartenders, hosts, food runners, bussers, and other front-of-house staff. Coach employees on service standards, teamwork, and company expectations. Provide ongoing feedback and assist with employee training and development. Promote a positive, respectful, and team-oriented work environment. Operations Oversee daily floor operations to ensure efficient and effective service. Coordinate with the kitchen to maintain communication and timely food delivery. Monitor staffing levels and adjust floor assignments based on business needs. Conduct pre-shift meetings to communicate daily specials, promotions, and operational updates. Ensure restaurant policies, procedures, and service standards are consistently followed. Financial & Administrative Assist with opening and closing procedures. Monitor labor usage and assist in controlling labor costs. Handle cash-outs, tip reporting, and other shift-end responsibilities as assigned. Support inventory management and communicate supply needs to management. Safety & Compliance Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol service regulations. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe dining room and bar area. Enforce company policies and promote a culture of accountability. Qualifications Previous restaurant supervisory or management experience preferred. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills. Excellent communication and conflict resolution abilities. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Proficiency with POS systems and basic computer skills preferred. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 40 pounds. Frequent bending, reaching, and carrying. Ability to work in a busy restaurant environment.
