We're looking for a motivated Front of House Manager who leads by example, enjoys working with people, and is passionate about delivering exceptional customer service while supporting a positive, team-oriented culture. Position Summary As the Front of House Manager, you will oversee daily front-of-house operations while supporting a team of 1-4 employees during each shift. This is a hands-on leadership role that combines customer service, team coaching, operational excellence, and maintaining our high standards for presentation and quality. You won't just supervise—you'll work alongside your team to ensure every guest has an exceptional experience. The ideal candidate is an experienced hospitality professional who thrives in a fast-paced café environment, takes initiative, and enjoys developing others. Responsibilities Lead, coach, and motivate the front-of-house team to provide exceptional customer service. Assist front-of-house team members with their daily tasks and provide hands-on support during busy periods. Greet customers with a warm and welcoming attitude while ensuring every guest receives an outstanding experience. Operate the TOAST point-of-sale system, accurately process transactions, run the cash register, and assist customers with placing and collecting their orders. Coordinate order fulfillment by working closely with the bakery and kitchen teams to ensure orders are prepared accurately and delivered in a timely manner. Handle customer concerns professionally and resolve issues promptly. Open and close the café following company procedures. Manage cash handling, register balancing, and end-of-day reconciliation. Maintain inventory levels for front-of-house products, packaging, beverages, and operating supplies. Keep bakery products, retail items, packaging, and other front-of-house materials fully stocked throughout each shift. Ensure bakery products are properly displayed and presented according to company standards. Maintain quality standards by ensuring recipes, product specifications, and presentation guidelines are consistently followed. Support catering orders and special events as required. Maintain cleanliness, organization, and food safety standards throughout the front-of-house. Train new team members and provide ongoing coaching and performance feedback. Step in wherever needed to ensure smooth daily operations and support the overall success of the team. QualificationsRequired Minimum of 2 years of hospitality or customer service experience. Previous supervisory or leadership experience. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds. Preferred Experience in a café, bakery, coffee shop, or restaurant. Experience using the
TOAST POS
system. Passion for pastries, specialty coffee, and hospitality.
