Job Description
The Vue Restaurant Floor Supervisor reports directly to the Director of Restaurants at Vue Restaurant at Wilson Cove and plays a critical leadership role in supporting the daily management and operational success of the restaurant. This position is responsible for overseeing front-of-house operations, supervising and developing service staff, ensuring compliance with all company standards and regulatory requirements, and delivering exceptional guest experiences across all service outlets. The Floor Supervisor works collaboratively with restaurant leadership to maintain operational excellence, uphold quality and service standards, support financial accountability, and assist in the successful execution of special events and daily operations. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong leadership, professionalism, communication, and problem-solving skills while fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and hospitality excellence. Oversee all front-of-house operations during service periods, ensuring strict adherence to established standards, steps of service, and opening/closing protocols across all outlets. Provide clear, professional directions to staff through effective verbal and written communication, pre-shift meetings, and departmental briefings covering pertinent operational updates. Monitor, evaluate, and develop staff performance continuously, fostering a culture of accountability, growth, and service excellence. Ensure full compliance with all Federal, State, and Local regulations as well as company policies, including TIPS Certification, ServSafe standards, and all standard operating procedures. Championing the guest experience by proactively engaging with customers, resolving concerns to full satisfaction, maintaining interdepartmental relationships, and soliciting feedback to drive continuous improvement. Conduct regular quality assessments of food, beverage, and service standards throughout all outlets, including temperature verification, product presentation, and preparation methods, implementing corrective action as needed. Collaborate closely with the Director of Restaurants or Restaurant Manager to ensure timely submission of daily reports, maintain accurate financial and cash handling procedures, and support the planning and execution of special events. Address all staffing, scheduling, and employee relations concerns, escalating disciplinary matters to the Director of Restaurants while maintaining a professional, well-presented, and compliant work environment. Complete other duties as may be assigned by Director of Restaurants or Restaurant Manager.
