Overview We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Food Service Director to lead our dietary operations within a dynamic educational setting. This leadership role involves managing food service teams, ensuring compliance with health regulations, and delivering nutritious, high-quality meals that support the well-being of students and staff alike. Responsibilities Oversee daily food service operations, including food production, menu planning, and delivery of nutritious meals aligned with dietary guidelines. Manage and supervise food service teams, fostering a positive work environment through effective leadership and team management strategies. Ensure compliance with all health regulation policies, including food safety management and health code adherence. Conduct patient assessments related to dietary needs, including tube feeding and clinical nutrition considerations for special populations. Develop and oversee care plans that incorporate nutrition strategies tailored to individual needs. Monitor budget management, including food costs, staffing expenses, and resource allocation to meet financial targets. Maintain accurate records using EMR/EHR systems for managing electronic health records related to dietary services and patient care. Qualifications Proven experience in food service management within assisted living or healthcare environments. Strong knowledge of health regulation policies, food safety standards, and nutrition principles. Experience with patient assessment, clinical nutrition, and care plan development. Demonstrated ability to manage food production processes while ensuring compliance with health codes. Supervisory experience leading food service teams in dietary or clinical settings. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for documentation of care plans and nutritional assessments. Excellent leadership skills complemented by effective communication abilities. Knowledge of physiology related to nutrition and acute care experience is highly desirable.
